BATTLE CREEK, MI: The Battle Creek Battle Jacks and Marshall Community Credit Union (MCCU) are teaming up to host a community tailgate on Saturday, June 15th. The tailgate is set to take place from 10 am – 1 pm at MCCU’s Battle Creek branch, located at 1157 East Michigan Avenue.
All community members are welcome to attend and may enjoy free food and beverages, as well as inflatables, yard games, and a dunk tank. Attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes and mingle with Battle Jacks players and coaches. The first 200 attendees will receive an exclusive Battle Jacks/MCCU Field bucket for attending.
“We are excited to be hosting alongside MCCU for a third year in a row,” says Battle Jacks General Manager, Denny Smith. “We always look to create great experiences for both our players and fans; this tailgate allows everyone to have some fun and create memories outside of the ballpark.”
“The tailgate has quickly become one of our favorite events,” says MCCU Financial Education Specialist, Laura Van Dyke. “We enjoy hosting a free, family-friendly event where baseball fans of all ages can interact with the Battle Jacks players.” Van Dyke adds, “Seeing the excitement on the fans’ faces as they hit the bullseye and dunk the players is priceless.”
The Battle Jacks will take on Kokomo Jackrabbits for Pink Out the Park Night presented by Oaklawn Hospital the evening of the 15th. Tickets for Pink Out the Park Night will also be given away during the tailgate.
