Gear Up for Savings Official Rules & Regulations
Eligibility: This promotion is open to new members of Marshall Community Credit Union (MCCU) who meet membership and account eligibility requirements and open a new membership during the promotional period. Drawing is open to legal U.S. residents aged 18 years or older. MCCU employees and officials, as well as their families and household members are not eligible to win. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
Promotional Period: The promotion begins on July 1, 2024, and ends on August 31, 2024.
How to Enter: To receive one entry, new members must open a new membership with MCCU during the promotional period. By participating, you agree to be bound by these rules, any modifications thereof, and by all other rules imposed by MCCU. Alternatively, you may mail a legible, hand-printed entry that includes your full name, complete mailing address, phone number, date of birth, email address and a brief written statement on what winning the prize would mean to you (at least 30 words). Entry must be in an envelope with proper postage affixed and mailed to: MCCU, Attn: Gear Up Entry, 839 W. Green St., Marshall, MI 49068. All entries must be postmarked by August 31, 2024 and received by September 6, 2024. One entry per person allowed. Bulk shipments of entries will not be accepted.
Prize: The prize for this promotion is one Polaris Sportsman 570 -RC ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle). The approximate value of the prize is $12,399 and shall not include any other merchandise, expenses, incidentals, or other costs that may arise out of the winner’s acceptance and use of the Prize. The Prize is not transferrable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash. However, MCCU reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.
Winner Selection: One winner will be selected randomly from eligible entries received during the promotional period. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. A purchase will not increase your chance of winning. The winner will be notified via phone call and email on or about September 10, 2024. If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of the initial attempt, is found to be ineligible, or otherwise fails to comply with these official rules, an alternate winner will be drawn.
Additional Prize Considerations: MCCU will cover applicable sales tax on the prize, up to the rate for Michigan sales tax, payable to the state in which the ATV will be registered. However, winners are responsible for any additional taxes, title, and licensing associated with accepting the prize, as required by law. The winner will receive and be required to complete any applicable IRS required information and will receive an IRS Form 1099-Misc. The winner must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate insurance with minimum coverage limits that may be required by the state of registration.
Release of Liability: By participating in the promotion, entrants agree to release and hold harmless MCCU from any liability, loss, or damage arising out of participation in the promotion or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the ATV, or any harm resulting from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Prize. Entrants waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.
Rights Granted By You: Winner agrees to be photographed and/or videotaped for promotional purposes when collecting their prize. Except where prohibited by law, all entrants agree to allow use of their name, voice, photograph, likeness, and any other applicable information, in any medium of communication, including but not limited to print, internet, social media, radio, television and for any purpose without additional compensation.
General Conditions: MCCU reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the promotion at any time for any reason and without any resulting responsibility or liability. The promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void when prohibited or restricted by law.
