Annual Save More Thoughtfully Promotion Underway at Marshall High School; MCCU to Match Donations

MARSHALL, MICHIGAN – The annual Save More Thoughtfully promotion is underway at Marshall Community Credit Union’s (MCCU) CU in School branch at Marshall High School (MHS).
Marshall High School students and staff who are members of MCCU are encouraged to make deposits at the CU in School booth on Fridays through December 15, 2023. At the end of the promotion, MCCU will match every deposit, up to $25, and donate the proceeds to the LINKS and NEXUS programs at MHS.
“The NEXUS program is a student mentor program where MHS classroom students come to the Secondary Functional Program to help our students,” said MHS Special Education Teacher, Samantha McClusky. “The MHS student mentors work as one-on-one academic helpers, being friends with our students, and helping guide our students in the right direction; behaviorally and socially.”
“We often pair our student promotions with food as the reward such as Pickles for Nickles or Donuts for Dollars,” says MCCU’s Financial Education Specialist, Laura Van Dyke. “This promotion directly benefits someone else, and it’s so heartwarming to see students increase their deposits during this annual promotion.”
